    In 1920, Lázaro’s son, Luciano, infused his father’s legacy with innovation, ushering in a new era for our tequila. Inspired by the Art Deco movement, he designed the iconic Gran Centenario® bottle — adorned with The Angel of Independence, a timeless tribute to Mexico’s resilience and pride.

    • 1857

      Lázaro Gallardo begins crafting tequila at Ex Hacienda Los Camichines, pioneering his exclusive Selección Suave™ process.

    • 1895

      Gallardo unveils Gran Centenario® at his tavern, marking the dawn of a new century — for tequila, and for distilling.

    • 1920

      Luciano Gallardo, Lázaro’s son, designs the iconic Art Deco bottle, inspired by Mexico’s Centenario coin and adorned with The Angel of Independence.
